Early Life and Education
Growing up in Colorado Springs, Rebecca always had a passion for literature and writing and always knew that she wanted to become a writer, but she didn’t fully realize her passion until fourth grade.
She revealed in an interview with youngentertainmentmag.com that she knew she wanted to be a writer and author in fourth grade after having her contest-bound poetry book.
Given the fact that both of her parents were in the military and she had Ehlers-Danlos, a chronic condition that occasionally affected her mobility, books were her hobby of choice, and she read them a lot.
Rebecca attended Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Having excelled academically and more so in history and literature-related subjects in high school, she earned a spot at Troy University.
She joined Troy University in 2008 and graduated from the institution in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and English.
Career
Yarros started her professional writing career in September 2013, after penning down her first book deal with Entangled Publishing. She went on to publish her debut novel, Full Measures, which is the first of the “Flight & Glory” series of novels, in February 2014.
