Dr. Preston Sprinkle is a New York Times best-selling Christian author, professor, speaker, podcaster, YouTuber, and biblical scholar known for his work on sexuality and gender.
He is the CEO and President of the Center for Faith, Sexuality, and Gender, an organization that aims to create a more welcoming and compassionate environment for people wrestling with their sexual identity and the LGBTQ community in the church.
As an author, Preston is best known for his best-selling books, Does the Bible Support Same-Sex Marriage? and Two Views on Homosexuality, the Bible, and the Church.
Preston Sprinkle, Early Life and Education
Preston was born and raised in a small Christian family, and his upbringing played an integral part in the man he is and has become. He was an active church boy from a young age. He attended the Master’s College in California from 1997 to 2000 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible and Biblical Studies from the institution.
He also holds a master’s degree in Divinity and Ministry from the Master’s Seminary in California, a research doctorate in religion and religious studies from the University of Aberdeen, and a doctorate in philosophy (Ph.D.) in the New Testament from the University of Aberdeen.

While Preston has never struggled with his sexuality, he possesses a God-given gift of understanding and interpretation, coupled with his intellect, traits that have greatly helped him understand what people who are either queer or struggling with their sexuality are going through.

He initially wanted to write a book on what the Bible says on matters regarding homosexuality and sexuality, and he therefore set out on an academic journey that forever changed him.
